Volbeat, Halestorm, and The Ghost Inside Rocked Wheatland Through the Lightning and the Rain

By Chel Evah

July 25, 2025 - The skies, filled with lightning flashing overhead and rain lightly drizzling down didn’t overshadow the sheer power of The Greatest of All Tours Worldwide, at the Toyota Amphitheatre tonight. Many came to bare witness a triple-threat lineup of VOLBEAT, Halestorm, and The Ghost Inside—a night of rock and metal fury that refused to be tamed.

Opening the evening, The Ghost Inside wasted no time igniting the crowd. Their set was explosive—raw, energetic, and cathartic. With every breakdown and chorus, the band rallied fans into a frenzy, setting the perfect tone for the mayhem to follow.

Halestorm took the stage next, and the heavens responded in kind. As lightning lit up the sky, Lzzy Hale’s primal screams filled the air.

Then came the headliners—VOLBEAT. Despite frontman Michael Poulsen battling vocal strain, the Danish rockers charged through a 15-song set with their trademark grit and power. When Poulsen took a step back vocally, the crowd stepped up, belting lyrics in a communal show of support that turned the amphitheatre into one massive choir.

From the thunderous Black Sabbath cover “Children of the Grave” to fan anthems like “The Devil’s Bleeding Crown” and “Still Counting,” VOLBEAT’s performance was a testament to resilience and rock 'n' roll unity. Their ability to connect across generations was palpable—every riff, every chorus, every beat striking deep.
